Home Up Homework ASVAB Student Assistance Team

Homework should be a very important priority to for you.  You should have an appropriate place in which to work and schedule a definite time to complete your assignments.  If you are having trouble with your assignment, ask your parents for help.  If they can't help, don't be afraid to call your buddies or even your teacher.  Sometimes, others can explain the work and you will suddenly understand it.

If you, as a student, don't have any homework tonight, you should take some time to study for your classes, or take some time from the TV and read a good book.  Here are some ideas to help you be a successful student at QHS.

  1. Rewrite your classroom notes and/or lab reports (every day).
  2. Check your class notes and rewrite them as soon after the class as you can.  You will retain much more information if you do this instead of waiting several days to do so.
  3. Outline the chapter over which you will be having a quiz or test.
  4. Review, review, review!
  5. Get enough rest and eat healthy foods.  Don't try to "cram" the night before a test.  It usually doesn't work and you will be too tired to do your best the next day!
  6. If you have no homework and nothing to study, settle down with a good book or magazine and read awhile.

If you are curious about the QHS homework policy, please refer to the Student Handbook.  Be responsible for your education.  Take some time and study!!!
