













Mission Statement
The Quemado Library will provide
►reference materials for research
►fiction and non-fiction books and other print material for
improving reading skills and enjoyment
►computers for easy access to online databases to students,
teachers, other staff, and community members
Library Databases Available
ISD#2 has purchases the following informational databases for the use of their
students and staff. The Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature, Infotrac,
and Facts on Dile can be accessed either at school or home. Grolier
On-Line can only be accessed at school. Please request user ID and
passwords in person at the Quemado School Library.
►Readers' Guide to
Periodical Literature provides information
in full text plus abstract and indexing. However, the
articles
only go back as far as 1994.
►Infotrac provides
access to journals, magazines in full and
abstract text. There are special editions for high
school and
elementary students.
►Facts on
File is a cross-curricular database that includes
American History Online, Science Online, Health Reference
Center, World Atlas, Curriculum Resource Center: Junior
Edition, Bloom's Literary Reference Online, and Ferguson's
Career Guidance Center.
►Grolier On-Line provides
six online encyclopedias for
student access: Encyclopedia Americana, Grolier Multi-
Media, New Book of Knowledge, The New Book of Popular
Science, Lands & People, and America the Beautiful.
There
are full maps, color illustrations, and teacher materials.
All databases provides both APA and MLA works-cited information.

During the
School Year
►7:45 - 3:00 Monday - Thursday
►Closed Fridays, weekends, and holidays
During the
Summer
►To be announced (usually one day a week from 9:00 - 12:00)
Check Out Procedure
►elementary school student loan period: 1 week
►middle and high school student loan period: 2 weeks
►magazines and reference materials may be used in the library
only
►no overdue fines are charged
►students and patrons are responsible for lost or damaged
materials
Internet Access for Community Members
►sign the ISD#2 Acceptable Use Policy
►follow ISD#2 policies regarding inappropriate and unlawful
material
